Have no fear! The dunceCast is here, bringing with it the next installment in the Assman and Outhouse Boy series, and a special message from Isaac Clark. We discuss what we’ve been playing, including Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Dead Space. That’s about it, but don’t be discouraged, have a listen and use the extra free time you get from a shorter dunceCast to think of extra inventive ways to kill yourself!
Today, on the dunceCast: a new episode of Assman and Outhouse Boy stumbles out the door. A short IMDB rabbit hole. We talk about games we’ve been playing, including Sonic Generations and Far Cry 3. We argue about the merits of sitting around doing nothing all day, and then talk about the best atmospheres and worlds we’ve discovered in games.
This dunceCast, we premiere the first episode of Assman and Outhouse Boy. We share some Fergie Facts, and somehow discover the Seven Degrees of Jeff Goldblum. We compare some entries in the Metroid series. Davie realizes he don’t care it’s good. We tell a tale of two Far Cries, while David gets too drunk to podcast. Matthew declares Metal Gear Solid 3 is the best MGS, and discovers Alien 3 isn’t shit. NJoy!
This week the dunceCast is horribly off the rails right from the beginning, but we still find time to talk half-heartedly about CES and the deluge of so-called “consoles” announced there. Don’t despair though, for we have assembled a short list of things to look forward to in 2013. (Or at least what Matthew is looking forward to.) There is a wistful discussion of the perils and wonders of Dungeons and Dragons, and how it differs from video games. We read our first email live on the air, and we crash and burn shortly after.
This week’s dunceCast is louder than they have been, so adjust your volume accordingly. We barely planned anything for the show so we discuss what we’ve been playing and watching like one of those Internet radio shows. But we also make some bold predictions for the game industry in 2013!
For this weeks installment of the dunceCast. We bring you a split episode! The first half is the normal dunceCast you know and loathe, but the second half is all about video game music. We highlight some of the best soundtracks of this generation and also recount some of our favorite tunes of all time. Also, we edited in samples from every game we mention for your listening pleasure. Video game music can be damn good, son. Enjoy!
We know that this podcast’s file size is much larger than normal, but trust that this is to bring the music to you in its intended stereophonic juicy quality.

And the dunces go marching in! dunceCast episode 9 has finally arrived, we hope you didn’t get too hyped up of anything. It’s been in development for a while, yes, but that doesn’t mean it can’t disappoint. Ah, well…what can we say. It’s just a click away to listen to an hour and a half of new piping-hot dunce cakes.
We thought we might just skip this weeks podcast, to see if anyone really missed us. But then we started to feel guilty and so we sat down and did it anyway. We hope you will appreciate our commitment to excellence and also dumb podcasts every week. If we are an apple, you are the worm. Or some other metaphor
Another week, another dunceCast! We love you more than you love us, but that’s okay. We have come to accept that the world is not a fair place and we will never be truly happy…
SPOILER WARNING: SKYFALL, Assassin’s Creed 3, and Halo 4.
This week we spoil the shit out of SKYFALL, talk some more about Assassass’s Ass the Turd, as well as some primarily Matthew-based chatting about Halo 4. If you’re scared of spoilers for SKYFALL, most of the discussion is over past the 38 minute mark, but we do make a callback later. Dont say I didnt warn. This week, Assassin’s Creed 3 is spoiled up to the end of Sequence 6. Sadly, if you are afraid of spoiling, there probably isn’t much for you in this week’s podcast, cause we talk openly about Halo 4 as well. Our advice? Just dive in head first and don’t be afraid. I mean come on, are you really that worried about spoiling a James Bond film? A Halo game?
